This marketing myth is finally being exposed. More pixels != better pixels. The Mars Spirit Rover takes gorgeous photos at 1Mpix, SmugMug has printed 3 million photos with zero returns for low-resolution, and David Pogue at the New York Times conducts his own tests exposing the Megapixel Myth. Megapixels are almost meaningless.
