Hello folks!:)
My name is Jon and I`m from Norway. I race RC boats here in Norway, and below you can see the boat I use nowadays. It`s a hull made by a norwegian called Leif Rasmussen, and it`s extremely fast, but rather unstable at the highest speeds.;)
I`m looking for a cat with or without a Zenoah 231/260 for the next session, so if you know about some good used cats, feel free to tell me about it. :)

Thanks!:)
It`s a great boat. 1,70 meters, 2 steps, Zenoah 231 Mod-powerd, does 80 km/h+ with a 470/3 prop.... You wou`nt find this boat outside Norway.;)
Right now I`ve taken it apart totally. Gonna redecorate and do some mods to the hull to get it more stabil in the high speeds thru the curves.
I had a rather "unlucky" episode this summer and hit one of the blue cans under the stand we`re using during the race at full throttle. Had to mold up 10 centimeters of the nose again.:o
Next session it`s gonna look amazing and hopefully be more stabil! ;)

Working on it. Removed some of the steplists (don`t know the correct word for it in english, but it`s the parts under the boat that goes in the lenght of the boat). The hull has 2 steps, at the front I now have 3 "steplists" on each side, at the middle I have 2, and at the rear section I have 1. Originaly there were 3 all the way. Have also made some new intakes in the cowling, to get more air in to the motor.
Also the hull was completely stripped for paint, and is now primed. Just waiting for a little sparetime to lay the new paint and the decoration. :D
The papertube taped to the side of the hull is just to confuse a few of my competitors here in Norwaywho also does a lot with their boat this winter.

I always have some ideas. ;)
The picture below is of the origial Colibri, driven by the french Formula 1-driver Didier Pironi back in -87. That boat has always had a special place in my mind, since it had a bad accident only one week after it won the race here in Norway (I was there). Pironi and both the crew members were killed.
When I bought my boat, I named it Colibri Evolution in memory of the old Colibri. It will still be named Colibri Evo, but this time with the correct graphics.
At least that`s the plan. :)
I also have another project going. This is also a french offshore racer from back in -87, but that`s another (and very secret!!!) story so far...;)

He-he....it`s a small world...;) I have contact with Paal in that club nowadays, because I`m going to arrange a RC show in February, including all sorts of RC hobby (real RC, not cheap and useless shit that are coming in fast and in huge amounts nowadays from China). The info site for the show is in norwegian, but if you wanna check it out, it`s www.rcmesse.no
If you guys should happend to be in Norway at that time, I really hope you come by!:)

OK. Here`s some more.:)
The boat is made by a norwegian named Leif Rasmussen, fiberglass/polyester. Assembled by me. It`s the same type of hull as I used last season, but this is modified to get better stability. Powerd by a mod. Zenoah 231. How fast it is I don`t know yet. Hope to get some figures soon with a GPS aboard. But it is FAST!;) Use Futaba 3PK with 1024 PCM reciver, Futaba high torch servo for steering, standard servo for the throttle, radiobox custom-made in fiberglass for this boat.
Going to run it in the norwegian championship the 12th & 13th of May.
Wish me luck!;)
PS: You can see a short video of "her" here: http://media.putfile.com/Boat-crash-13
The "incident" was caused by a "driver mistake"...

What's the purpose of the water hose at the end of the pipe on the first picture? It looks weird. BTW the boat looks fantastic:rockin:

Funny thing.. My tuned pipe is a little short, so I used the ugly thing to get the oil-spill/mess from the pipe out of the boat. Don`t use that anymore.
