Team Associated va a estar usando su nueva Truggy en la carrera Manufacturers Cup en Coeur d’Alene, ID. Para ver el progreso de la carrera y de como luce la truggy en las manos de los terribles Ryans (Mayfield y Cavalieri) debe ser competitiva.

Esa pista se ve super rapida y pegajosa. Espero que les vaya super bien pq voy a estar considerando la guagua antes de hacerle un rebuild completo a la mia.

Here's a few more pics from the event. The track is extremely hooked up and was prepped by compacting the Idaho dirt and then applying sugar on top to hold it together. The grip is amazing with traction rolls occuring often.

The layout is realatively easy which should make for some intense battles.

A few laps with Associated's Ryan Maifield's RC8T



Practice is now underway and the usual suspects are setting the fast pace. The sessions are running one hour of buggy, one hour of truggy and 1/2 hour of monster truck. With the high grip surface it seems like almost any tire will work and the final "best tire" may just come down to driver preference.

New in the pits is the Associated RC8T. You may notice the Associated drivers are running headlight buckets similar to a new AE ad campaign. B)

Also new in the pits are JConcepts Crosshairs for Truggy. Ryan Maifield is running these and with over 30 minutes of running still have pin left. Compared to other tires that are bald in the same time period, the JConcept tires are wearing well.

Para los que no sepan quien es Ty Tessmann es un chamaquito de 15 años que corre para Hot Bodies/HPI. El nene esta bien duro y siempre batalla con los grandes. Cualquier similitud con alguien de aqui es pura casualidad (estos nenes nos dan un dolor de cabeza brutal):lol:. Chad Bradley tubo varios problemas en calificaciones pero ya esta en el main A.

Miren el video como estan las gradas. Algo asi es que se necesita para que mas personas vean como es que estos carros corren y vean que no son juguetes.

The Night Show

The atmosphere is absolutely electric. The pros are excited, the fans are excited, the announcers are excited...the night should be AWESOME! With over 7,000 fans packing the stands, an autograph session with the top pros and a beer garden, the stage is set to produce the most intense r/c race in the World.

The crowds started showing up around 6pm, and as the stands filled and the sun set, a feeling of something new filled the air...a chance to expose thousands of fans to our obsession...r/c.

Kicking off the night show was Mrs. Jared Tebo, Megan Tebo with the National Anthem. Rumors of an American Idol audition circulated the pits and she didn't dissapoint.

Tremendo debut para la RC8T haciendo el TQ y ganando con Ryan Maifield como piloto. El motor que uso fue el nuevo de Reedy que ya ha ganado dos carreras y un dash for cash.:rockin:

En buggy gano "Mr. Stinky", Mike Truhe su premio fue una motora Honda CRF450:handdown: La verdad es que Mr. Stinky es tremendo corredor. Vamos a ver que pasa este año en las mundiales. Todavia no se sabe como fue el resultado final solo los ganadores de las categorias.

Here are a few shots from the trophy presentation for Pro Truggy. Sorry, my point and shoot photo skills don't exactly show how many people were in the crowd, but the stands were packed.

If you're considering attending a new event next year, you have to put this one on the list. The relaxed, yet big race feel is perfect and racing in front of a crowd like this is amazing.

Thanks to everyone involved in making this happend and Team Associated will for sure be back next year.

Ryan Maifield took his brand new RC8T to the TQ position and never looked back in the main event. He lead from start to finish, except for pit stop strategy from Lutz.

There were three RC8Ts at the event. The other two were piloted by Ryan Cavalieri and Richard Saxton. All of them qualified directly in to the final night show to kick off the first race for the new Associated truggy. Look to get your hands on one in late August.

Ese evento se esta convirtiendo en uno de los mas grande en US :dancing6:, lo mas q me gusta es q no es por tiempo sino el primero en dar X cantidad de vueltas (seria bueno tirar uno asi de vez en cuando) como si fuera motocross .

Richard saxton hablo en SGRID que no ha salido y ya empezaron el cambia cambia. AE ofrecieron 5 tanques sacaitos de R&D y los dieron a las primeras 5 personas que dieron su direccion esto es del buggy.

Eso es asi todavia le falta pues no le dieron el release. Se supone que llegaran esta semana pero algo paso, pudiera ser lo del tanque pues el tanque blanco tiene un problemita que ya se le encontro la solucion pero parece que el primer embarque no tenia esa solucion y la aguantaron. Mejor que lo corrijan y ya. Para los que tienen el buggy con el tanque blanco el problema es que parece que el chino que esta armando el nipple del tanque lo apreta demaciado y se le forma un stress crack en esa area. Los que les paso en el buggy lo soplucionaron con una gota de CA. El proceso es sacar el nipple y poner una gota sobre el area de la fisura luego re-instalar el nipple. Es sumamente facil y rapido, comoquiera esto no te afecta el desempeño del carro y es tan poca la gas que se pierde que muchos ni lo saben y no se dan cuenta. Pero a los que les pueda ayudar pregunten!

Se supone que la RC8T ya viene con los big bore pero hasta que no llegue no se sabe de seguro. Yo entiendo que si ya viene con ellos pues es lo que han dicho desde un principio. Yo no se si voy a cambiar o no pues ahora mismo me encanta la Jammin y es bien fuerte. Hay que ver como se desarrolla la RC8T aqui para entonces uno poder tomar una desicion. Acuerdate que todavia el campeonato no se ha desidido y no es momento de probar algo que no sabemos si aguanta la pela que le damos aqui. Quizas para el proximo ya me decido. Lo bueno es que hay varios curetes que vienen por ahi que se puede probar bien probada!!
